Bezalel  Gavish

Bezalel Gavish is Professor of Information Technology and Operations Management (ITOM) in the Cox School of Business and the Eugene J. and Ruth F. Constantin, Jr. Distinguished Chair in Business. Prior to joining SMU in 2000, Professor Gavish was the area coordinator of computers and information systems at Vanderbilt University, and also worked at the University of Rochester. He received his Ph.D. from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. His research interests include the design and analysis of computer communication networks, design and analysis of distributed computing systems and the modeling of search processes on the web. Professor Gavish is a former chair of the Cox School ITOM Department, and is the founding chair of the International Conference on Telecommunications Systems Management and the International Conference on Telecommunications and Electronic Commerce. He retires as Professor Emeritus of Information Technology and Operations Management.
